For 17 years on PressureRadio, and now on board the good ship Vocal Booth Radio…over 4 decades as a DJ, from soul, funk, jazz, jazz-funk and boogie in the early 80s, to soulful house, broken beats and nu-jazz in the present day…it’s always been a joy to share the music I love!!
I’m a resident DJ at the yearly Vocal Booth Weekender in Spain, with a history of numerous residencies and guest spots including “Deep Into Soul”, “BrukUp” and “Househuntin’ ” – and throwing in remixing/production duties as one half of the SoulTwins partnership, alongside moving towards my own original material releases under the signature WLLP (West London Loft Projects).
Set or show, old jams or new choon pressure, my emphasis is always on “it’s got to have soul” – that “thing” that makes you say “ooooh”, gets your feet tapping or head nodding, or even brings you to tears…and you’ll find that and then some in my “Risin’ ” sessions!!
