I wanted to share a little bit about my journey as a DJ, which has been an incredibly rewarding and exciting experience for over 35 years! My passion for music was initially sparked by my Dad’s soul and jazz record collection. I grew up listening to iconic albums like Stevie Wonder’s “Songs in the Key of Life,” Stan Getz and João Gilberto’s “Getz / Gilberto,” and John Coltrane’s “A Love Supreme,” to name a few. I also played drums in a number of bands in my youth and as a student.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the pleasure of playing at various venues and events. Some of the notable places I’ve performed at include The Big Feastival, Our House parties, resident at the Shoreditch Electricity Showrooms, the Roundhouse Camden, Philip Sallon’s Mud Club at Bagley’s Kings Cross, the Wag Club and Orange Club in London, Sankeys Soap and Atlas Bar in Manchester. Additionally, I’ve enjoyed guest slots with Our House promotions and on several radio shows like Soulful House DJ’s, SSRadio, SelectRadio, 4TheMusic, TMLODjs, HypeHouse, and Soul Groove radio, among others.
Currently, I enjoy a monthly residency at Soho Farmhouse, part of the Soho House group. I also run my own events and host my monthly ‘Music with Soul’ shows. These shows air on the first Thursday of every month between 2-4pm UK time on www.vocalboothradio.com
and monthly on Thursdays between 8-10pm UK time on www.d3ep.com.
My sets mainly feature Soulful, Deep and Garage House across the spectrum, from beloved old classics to the latest tracks and promos.
Thank you for taking the time to read a snapshot of my journey. I look forward to continuing to share my love for music with you all.
